Dear parents and students,
I hope you are all doing well.
I am glad to see recent results have picked up overall and almost everyone has improved. About half of our Unit 3/4 students have scored over 80% in sacs or are in the top 3 ranks of their schools. Keep up the good work and remember VCE is about consistency.
Feedback and what I am doing about them
I always value feedback from students and parents on how I can improve, so please keep them coming!
- Homework Questions – Students have asked me for more questions to practice on, and I have begun making new ones. They have been uploaded onto the shared Google Drive for Unit 3/4 students. The drive also contains numerous practice exam papers from different companies. The Unit 1/2 drive is being prepared and will be ready soon!
- Video Shorts – For a long time students have told me they would find short lessons on difficult physics topics helpful. Parents tell me it is difficult for their children to maintain attention for long periods of time. Therefore, I am making a course with short videos where I explain each physics topic in about 5 minutes! I have sent a video to my Year 12 students for feedback, and so far they have been overwhelmingly positive. If you haven’t watched and reviewed it yet, please do so!
It has been 2 years in the making with each video taking about 5 hours to make and edit, and I doubt the entire course will be ready this year. However, I am thinking of doing a pre-release at a discounted price so that students taking the exam this year can benefit from them.
I will release 1 more video free for your feedback – please reply back with a topic that you prefer, and I will make a video based on the most requests.
